Dr. Sydney Bader

Dr. Sydney Bader obtained his BDSc from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa in 1981 and completed his Endodontic speciality in 1993 at Temple University, Philadelphia USA.

Dr. Bader is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Endodontists.

Dr. Bader practised general dentistry for 10 years in North Ryde and has been practising as an Endodontist in Chatswood since 1993. Dr. Bader has practices at Dee Why, Chatswood, Gosford and Ballina.

Dr. Bader travels periodically to South East Asia where he teaches and provides endodontic treatment to the underprivileged.

Syd also enjoys flying, motorbikes and music.


Dr. John Barbat

Dr. John Barbat obtained his BDSc in 1977 from the University of Queensland and MDSc in 1996 from the University of Melbourne. He is a specialist clinical associate at Sydney University and is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, including courses with ADA NSW.

Dr. Barbat is a fellow of Pierre Fauchard Academy, a fellow of the International College of Dentists and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Endodontists.

Dr. Barbat served as a dental officer in the Royal Australian Army Dental Corp and has practised general dentistry in Australia and the United Kingdom. He has been practising full time as an Endodontist in Chatswood since 1996. Dr. Barbat has practices at Dee Why, Chatswood and Gosford. 


Dr James Wealleans

Dr. James Wealleans is originally from Christchurch, New Zealand, he is married and has 2 children.

Dr. Wealleans obtained his DMD with honors from Nova Southeastern College of Dental Medicine, Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2006 and completed an Advanced General Dentistry Residency in 2007 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

In 2010, Dr. Wealleans graduated Endodontic Residency from the prestigious University of Texas Health Science Center and Wilford Hall Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Wealleans is an American Board-Certified Endodontist, an accomplishment that only 20% of the specialty obtains.

Dr. Wealleans served as the Director of Endodontic Residency Training and Education from 2013-2018 at Wilford Hall Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas. He has held teaching appointments as Associate Professor with Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and Assistant Professor with University of Texas Health Sciences, San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Wealleans has authored over 10 published research papers and serves as a scientific advisor for the Journal of Endodontics. In 2017, Dr. Wealleans invented guided endodontic microsurgery, for which he holds two US patents. He has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally.

In 2018, after serving 20 honorable years in the Air Force, Dr. Wealleans retired as Lt. Colonel. He has now moved to Sydney, where will devote his time practising endodontics on the North Shore, Northern Beaches and Central Coast.
